Wireless
Communication Solutions for
Marketing Experts
A wireless network refers
to any kind of computer or telecommunications network solution
that does not need wires in order to function.
Telecommunication and other networks that are implemented in a
wireless fashion use electromagnetic waves like radio waves in
order to transmit data. The actual network nodes which
send and receive this data can be configured in a variety of
fashions, including popular mobile device networks and the
different local and area computer network
configurations.
For example, wireless
personal area networks are generally available within the
personal space of an individual, for example to connect a
persons laptop with their headset hardware. Wireless
local area networks (LAN) in comparison include technologies
like Wi-Fi which broadcast digital information with radio waves
and are transmitted within a local area. These networks
have become pervasive in homes today and have almost become the
standard protocol for Internet connection. Metropolitan
area networks also exist in order to connect several of these
LAN's together. Perhaps the most growing field however is
that of mobile device networks, and no marketing expert worth
their salt would ever be too far away from their mobile phone
or PDA, both of which rely on these particular wireless
networks to function.
Marketing is often performed
in an online environment, and search engine marketing has become a
extremely powerful way to reach a large and international
customer base. The evolution of the marketing
profession has gone hand in hand with communication changes
over the years, from the advent of wireless phone networks
in the 1980's to the world of the Internet and online marketing today.
Marketing is about products and the promotion of them, and
communication technology allows a marketer to promote their
products to a larger and more varied customer base with
ease. There is perhaps no other profession which has
to rely on new communication solutions like wireless so
much.
Wireless solutions in
particular have allowed marketing experts to connect with the
world around them with a greater degree of ease and
efficiency. The wireless networks that exist break down
the static lines of the communication matrix and allow a fluid
and dynamic pattern to emerge between network nodes. You
can now do your marketing on a phone connected to a moving
vehicle or a laptop on a jet plane, the networks are not tied
down to physical locations any longer. The future role of
marketing will be influenced by wireless networks and the
ability that they have to connect the world together in such a
dynamic and powerful way.
